Enrolling

As kindergartens are registered to take a maximum number of children per session - often around 45 - 30 most of our kindergartens generally operate waiting lists. Despite this, we can generally find a place at a local or nearby kindergarten for children aged between two and five. If you have recently moved to our region or have made the decision to start your child in kindergarten, we recommend you contact the association office or your local kindergarten.

We encourage parents to enrol their child at their local kindergarten on, or shortly after, their second birthday. This enhances their chance of being able to begin on, or shortly after, they turn three. You can collect an enrolment form at the association office, by visiting your local kindergarten or by sending us an e-mail.

If you move in the mean time, your child's name can be transferred to the waiting list of any other Ruahine Kindergarten Association kindergarten, or a kindergarten in another part of the country.
