Linton Area Kindergarten
About Us
Welcome to Linton Kindergarten, a welcoming and inclusive kindergarten working in partnership with parents and whānau to provide children with the best possible start.
Our wealth of resources and supportive teaching team allows children to take responsibility for their own learning and follow their passions to become confident, competent learners. We enjoy getting active and making healthy choices. Children are involved in planting, cultivating and harvesting crops in our kindergarten vegetable garden as well as cooking sessions in which we use the vegetables we've grown to create deliciously healthy dishes. We also care for chickens, a worm farm and create our own compost.
Creativity is encouraged and celebrated. We love engaging our imaginations and participating in art, music and dramatic play. Concepts of science, numeracy and literacy are integrated throughout spontaneous and planned kindergarten activities allowing children to learn in ways which are meaningful to them.
Any level of parent/whānau involvement is welcome at our kindergarten. We provide a supportive environment for many parents, particularly during times of deployment, when sole parenting can be a challenge for army families.
We look forward to getting to know you and your child as we journey into learning together.
