Mill Street Kindergarten is home to a bright new mural, designed and painted by Rangitikei College art students.
Students installed the mural at the end of 2010 and it's proving a real hit with Mill Street children.
"Children love the new addition and it's
certainly brightened up our bland side wall", said Chris, a Mill Street
Kindergarten teacher.

Mill Street Kindergarten in Marton was a hive of animal activity on Friday October 22nd as children brought along their favourite furry, fluffy and feathered friends to share on Pet Day.
Teachers couldn't have picked a better day and were delighted to see such a wide variety of animals arrive with children and their parents.
Pets in attendance included a rooster, a rat, rams, dogs and cats.
Children who didn't have pets to share brought in stuffed animals instead, and enjoyed learning all about the creatures brought along by their peers.
During a special mat time, children introduced the more docile animals and talked about the different kinds of pets.
Together, children, teachers and parents learnt the pets' names, what they ate and where they lived before children and their animals gathered together for a grand pet parade.
At the end of the session, every child received a certificate for participating in the fun-filled day of sharing and learning.
