Sessions
The majority of our kindergartens now operate school day hours with an all day licence. In the case of these kindergartens, three and four year olds attend the morning session, the 10 youngest children go home at lunchtime and the older children stay on for a further two hours in the afternoon.
Our other kindergartens offer variations on the traditional five morning and three afternoon sessions.
All Ruahine Kindergartens have non-contact periods on Wednesday and Friday afternoons, allowing teachers to plan kindergarten programmes, reflect upon children's learning and participate in professional development.
